Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts of Kearny in Unit 305 learn about Service & Sacrifice on Veterans Day

Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts of Unit 305 in Kearny learned about the service and sacrifice of Veterans from a joint presentation on the eve of Veterans Day on November 10, 2017, at Hedges Hall at St. Stephen's Church. Keith McMillan, Post Commander of American Legion Post 99, and SGM Jennifer Long (Ret.), Post Commander of VFW Post 1302, recounted their military service and experience for inquisitive Scouts.

The two presenters fielded questions by the Scouts, leaders, and families to share information about the equipment, technology, and training utilized by the U.S. Army in various overseas missions. At the close of the session, Post Commanders McMillan and Long were presented with the Unit 305 patch to thank them for their service.

Cubmaster Dennis Rakauckas of Unit 305 presented both Post Commander Keith McMillan of American Legion Post 99 and Post Commander SGM, Jennifer Long (Ret.) of VFW Post 1302 in Kearny with the Unit 305 patch to thank them for their service at the close of their joint presentation to Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts on the eve of Veterans Day
