Kearny PBA Equips the Boy Scouts for Camping
The Kearny Policemen's Benevolent Association # 21 (Kearny PBA) exemplified their mission to support the community that they serve by partnering with the Boy Scouts of Unit 305 in Kearny. On March 23, 2017, three representatives from the Kearny PBA attended a meeting of the Boy Scouts to donate two large tents for upcoming camping trips. PBA President John Fabula and Police Officers Mike Gontarczuk and Derek Hemphill presented the two tents to Scoutmaster John Reverendo and Senior Patrol Leader Anthony Hayes of Unit 305 in Kearny.
This generous donation is the second gift made recently by the Kearny PBA to the Scouts in response to the growing numbers of Boy Scouts of Troop 305. The extra tents will enable more Scouts to participate in outdoor, overnight camping trips without needing to purchase the expensive equipment on their own.
