On the day of we helped host the memorial by handing out programs for the night as well as candles that were lit in honor of the dead.

Projects

Alex's Project
(the guy on the right)

Alex had a two-sided project which has been officially finished as of October 3rd. The first part of his project was a health fair, in which people could come and train in cPR, get a free eye check-up, and learn more about keeping themselves healthy. Second, Alex collected a whopping 3673 eyeglasses that he cleaned, counted and packaged with the help of the troop.

Alex and the entire troop would like to extend their thanks to all who donated and participated in the glasses drive and health fair, none of this could have been done without you so thank you very much!

Sam's project

sam is planning to make a interactive garden for special needs students at Franklin elementary school's playground. this playground will specifically adhere to those with sensory processing disorders or autism, and by stimulating all 5 senses it allows students to learn, grow, and decompress outdoors. To fund this, sam has set up a Venmo (which is the QR code that's still open to donations) as well as a carwash that happened Thursday October 1st.

Thank you to all those who have already donated to Sam's project, and for who haven't please consider donating or volunteering to help the construction of the garden, and please keep a lookout for our scouts who are currently planning their projects!
